Description

The top dress/jacket part of a dark purple two piece bridal suit. The suit consists of a skirt and overcoat, with a waist that measures 24 inches (61 cm). There is a button missing on the front. There are 3 buttons along the cuffs of the sleeves. The collar is made of black velvet.

Coloured wedding dresses after 1900 - worn by Cora Maletta Jones when she married John McKnight on January 11, 1911. In the pocket is a handwritten note reading: "This was Mother's Wedding Swib - in which she was married & which she made".
