- Item History
- The congregation of the Anglican Church was established in 1860, originally meeting in the Town Hall. In 1861 Philip Hodgkinson donated a portion of his farm, at the corner of Water and Queen Streets, for the construction of a new church and cemetery. In 1885 the congregation purchased the former Methodist Episcopal Church, constructed in 1879, and the building still serves as the Trinity Anglican Church.
