- Description
- Black and white photograph of twenty men in an outdoor setting. They sit or stand in three rows, and all wear a formal suit with a jacket and tie or bowtie. All (but the man second from the left in the front row) wear a hat with a forward-facing brim and the embroidered initials "SBB." Each man is pictured with a musical instrument, mostly brass, but for the man without a hat in the front row, who is pictured with two drums. The image has a dark blue or navy matting, with a cream-coloured inner border. An embossing reading "L.F. Clarke, Aylmer, Ont." is in the lower right corner. Displayed in a wood and plaster frame and overlaid with glass. The frame is a golden colour, with an inner border of a chain-like, repeating oval pattern in relief, and an outer border of an ornate, organic or botanical design. The contents of the frame are held in place with a piece of cardboard decorated with a wood grain-like design. There is a piece of paper adhered to the upper left corner on the back of the frame, cut on a diagonal with the wood of the frame. Its brand name reads "RELIANCE MO[...]."
