- Funerary Card for Samuel Clutton. "In Loving Memory" printed on the front. Printed inside, "Died in Vienna on Monday February 8, 1937 Samuel S. Clutton in his 98th year. Funeral the remains will rest at H.A. Ostrander's Funeral Home, Broadway Street, Tillsonburg, until Wednesday Morning, February 10th thence proceed to his late residence, Vienna, where private service will be held at 2:30 pm. Interment in Aylmer Cemetery under Masonic auspices. Friends and acquiantances please accept this intimation. Masonic Notice the brethern will meet at Vienna Lodge, No. 237 on Wednesday February 10th at 1:30 pm thence join the funeral cortege and proceed to Aylmer Cemetery."

- Samuel S. Clutton was born August 28, 1839 in Dundas Ontario. His father was a schoolteacher and a Baptist preacher from England. The family moved to Aylmer where his father operated a woolen mill. Samuel took over the mill for a brief period, and in 1890 Samuel moved his operation to Vienna and added a gristmill to his enterprise. He operated the gristmill until he was 90. Samuel Clutton also had a successful political career. He served as a Reeve from 1884-1886 and the first mayor of Aylmer in 1887.
