- Two photographs showing the aftermath of an accident on the Wilson Avenue Bridge, St. Thomas, November 27, 1931. Image 63_20586a shows a wrecked car in the ravine at the foot of the bridge. Image 63_20586b shows the bridge surface with the area where the car crashed through the east side guard rail cordoned off and guarded by a police officer, with a large number of onlookers. A report on the accident was published in the St. Thomas Times-Journal, November 28, 1931, p. 1. Two men riding in the front seat, Howard Size (driver) and Samuel Robinson (passenger) survived; the passenger in the rear seat, Samuel A. Willis, died. 63_20586b shows several residences on the south side of Rosebery Place from the rear.
