- The Weaver family has been prominent in the history of Bayham and Malahide Townships, Elgin County, since the 1810s. From the 1970s into the 1990s, Jean and Willis Weaver were active in researching and compiling genealogies for the Weaver family and related prominent families in Bayham and Malahide Townships.

- Received into the Elgin County Library collection prior to 1996. Formally accessioned by deed of gift May 10, 2002.
- Scope and Content
- The fonds consists of scrapbooks, correspondence, legal records and photographs created, collected and maintained by the Weaver family documenting the history of several prominent families in Bayham and Malahide Townships, including the Weaver, Haggan, Chute, Willis, Condon, Van Velzer and Coghill families.
The fonds is arranged into the following five series:
