- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published January 31, 1972 with caption: "Life around City Hall can be pretty humdrum at times, but an occasional occurance can give city employees a lift. Like receiving a letter from a dog. That happened to Bill Lindsay, the city's licensing officer, today. Duffy, a one-and-a-half-year-old Collie owned by the Don Edminstons of 42 East Street, was the author of the note. The dog was prompted to write the letter after he received a note from Mr. Lindsay last week which included a licence for a female dog."
