Scope and Content: Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal published October 22, 1953 with caption: "Plowmen All? - It was a question at Elgin County Plowing Match on Wednesday if county councillors and wardens were good plowmen and from results obtained the result seemed somewhat doubtful. They all had a good time, however, and expert plowing didn't matter. Here are most of the contestants in the class lined up behind Warden W. S. McKillop, reeve of Dunwich, with the plow in hand who placed second. Reading to the rear are: C. M. Williams, deputy reeve of Yarmouth, class winner; P. W. Schleihauf, deputy reeve of Aldborough; Bruce Marr, deputy reeve of Malahide; Charles F. Jackson, reeve of Bayham; J. B. Wilson, reeve of South Dorchester; Cpl. Walter Robinson, O. P. P. St. Thomas, who was admitted as a ringer and won a red ribbon for putting on the best act; Walter Nelson, deputy reeve of Bayham; George Roszell, reeve of Malahide; and Ken Williamson, reeve of Aylmer."
