- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 30, 1981 with caption: "Honor Site of Aylmer Canners - A plaque unveiling ceremony was held recently at the corner of South and Fourth Avenue in memory of the former location of the Aylmer Canners plant, torn down in 1913. Agnes Nairn Brown, the granddaughter of former cannery owner Thomas Nairn, unveiled the plaque with aid from Kirk Barons, the organizer of the ceremony. Other dignitaries on hand were, from left, Heritage Aylmer President Paul Smith, Margaret McEwen and Beatrice Tremaine, great-granddaughters of Mr. Nairn, Heritage Aylmer Chairman Wilf Chalk, Mayor Forrest Moore, Bert Gardner, owner of the property on which the plaque is located, and Clinton Kipp, a former employee of Aylmer Canners."
