- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published 1979 with caption: "Seventy-Five Years Young - The Springfield Women's Institute celebrated 75 years of service to the community, with all members dressing in the styles worn at the branch's inception in 1904. Festivities took place in the WI hall where members and friends from neighboring branches joined to mark the occasion. Pictured are Springfield WI members under the group's flowering crab tree, planted for Canada's Centennial in 1967.
