- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published February 23, 1982 with caption: "Barricade Goes Up - Traffic was snarled and walking became impossible along the south side of Talbot Street at the location of the former Grand Central Hotel, as construction work crews began putting up a barricade at the site. The south sidewalk between Elgin and Metcalfe will be blocked off for up to a month until construction progress allows the barricade to be moved back past the curb, workmen said."
