- Scope and Content
- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 8, 1970 with caption: "Museum Tea A Successful Event - Due to the combined efforts of two women's organizations, the annual tea at the Elgin County Pioneer Museum on Friday afternoon and evening was again a successful venture. Members of the East and West Elgin District Women's Institutes and the city IODE chapters were more than pleased to greet so many friends, who came to enjoy a cup of tea and browse through the interesting rooms. Miss Marion E. Stewart, a member of Tonti Chapter, who represents the chapter on advisory committee of the museum board, is seen chatting with Mrs. Colin Morrison, wife of the Elgin County council representative on the museum executive board, who was pouring tea at one of the beautifully-appointed tea tables."
