- Scope and Content
- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 4, 1966 with caption: "Tea-Time at the Museum - The anniversary tea of Elgin County Pioneer Museum would seem to be growing in popularity as the years go by, if one is to judge by the number of guests who attended the event during yesterday afternoon and evening. The tea tables were the centre of attraction, arranged as they were with accessories borrowed for the occasion from the museum's displays. Left to right are Mrs. J. E. Sullivan, regent of the 25th Elgin Regimental Chapter, IODE; Mrs. R. B. Irvine, St. Thomas Municipal Chapter, IODE, regent; Mrs. Victor DeGraw (pouring), Rodney, a member of Rodney WI and wife of the reeve of the West Elgin community; Mrs. Douglas Todd, West Lorne, a member of that village's WI branch and wife of West Lorne's reeve. Mr. Todd and Mr. DeGraw are both members of the museum board. The annual tea is arranged by members of Elgin County's 32 WI branches, and of St. Thomas IODE chapters."
