- "Nature Provides - In a process as old as the hills, a number of the members of the Amish community around Aylmer utilize the icy ponds in the area to provide refrigeration for the summer months. The ice is cut, removed from the pond in two-foot thick cubes and stored in barns packed in sawdust for use in the summer. Seen here is the ice being removed from the pond." (2a)
- "Only Machine Used - A circular saw is used to initially cut the large chunks of ice. After the saw cut is made, a hammer and chisel break the ice blocks away so they can be removed from the pond." (2b)
- "Transported to Barn - Large chunks of ice are transported to a storage area by horse-drawn wagons." (2c)
