- John Henry Jones came to St. Thomas in 1877 to become organist and choir master in the newly-erected Trinity Church, taking that position at the opening of that church. He was at Trinity until February 1920. He also taught music at St. Thomas Collegiate Institute and Alma College. He died on January 3, 1923.
