Mrs. Peters, a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 81 in Aylmer, said she got a chance to fly in an Anson trainer during the Second World War at the base, but remarks, 'Oh, I was sick. It was like flying in a wagon.' She also got a chance to fly in a Harvard and remarks, 'I thought I'd die.'
