- Two photographs showing wear on the guard rail of the Wilson Avenue Bridge, St. Thomas, 1931, following an accident on November 27, 1931, when a car driven by Howard Size and carrying passengers Samuel Robinson and Samuel A. Willis, went out of control in icy conditions and crashed through the guard rail on the east side of the bridge, falling 75 feet into the ravine below. Size and Robinson survived; Willis died. A report of the accident was published in the St. Thomas Times-Journal, November 28, 1931, p. 1.
