- "County Honors - These girls were honored Saturday at the Elgin County 4-H Homemaking Clubs' Achievement Day program held at McGregor Public School in Aylmer. Each of the girls earned a county honors certificate. Since the theme of the program was block printing, Cindy Hooker, third from the left, who is from RR 1, Belmont, showed the other girls work done by her 4-H club from Lyons. Shown here from left to right are Charlotte Charlton, of RR 2, Springfield, Beth Hodgson, of Springfield, both members of the Springfield club, Miss Hooker, Marsha Marr, of Eden, Donna Nickerson, of RR 1, Eden, both of the Eden Club, and Cathy Johnston, RR 4, Aylmer, from the Springfield club. Another County winner Cheryl McLachlan, of the Belmont club was absent at the time." (128a)
- "Honor Certificate Winners - These girls were among the award winners at the Elgin County 4-H Homemaking Clubs' Achievement Day program held at McGregor School in Aylmer, Saturday. The theme of the program was creative block printing and these girls displayed some of their work. Cathy Faulds, left, was awarded the advanced honors certificate; Charlotte Logan, centre, and Donna Jean Legg, earned provincial honor certificates. All three girls are from the Belmont club. Elizabeth Pressey of Corinth, an advanced honors winner and Bonnie Kyle, of Lyons, a provincial honors winner, were absent when the photograph was taken." (128b)
