- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published May 10, 1973 with caption: "Lofty Perch - Workmen from Houston of Canada (Industrial Steeple Jacks) from Paris, Ont., are visible at the top of the town of Aylmer's water stand pipe, located behind the Public Utilities Commission buildings on the edge of Balmoral Park. The large stand pipe (or holding tank) is 100 feet in height and holds 100,000 gallons of water. The stand pipe, erected in 1896, has been open since then, and now it is being capped by the workmen."
