- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published March 17, 1962 with caption: "Aylmer Sewage System Plan - Construction of a lagoon-type sewage system in Aylmer is to be carried out this year under supervision of the Ontario Water Resources Commission. The above plan shows the location of the main trunk lines. Marked with an "X," the first trunk extends from a pumping station east of Water Street, through town, then north to the C.N.R.-Wabash track and west to the lagoons. The second will run from John Street South, across Fath Avenue to Fourth Avenue, then north to a point just below Clarence Street. The lagoons will cover nearly 70 acres if land owned by the town."
