- Scope and Content
- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published December 2, 1978 with caption: "Tutoring - Marg Harrison, one of eight local people, works with local persons who are unable to read or write. The St. Thomas group of volunteer tutors, headed by Mrs. Charlene Charlton, works on a limited budget made up of donations which sometimes requires Mrs. Charlton to pay for books out of her own pocket. More funds as well as volunteer tutors are badly needed. Emile Serkeyn is pictured with Mrs. Harrison during a session at Princess Avenue Christian Church, which provides its facilities free of charge."
