- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published Nov. 3, 1973 with caption: "Apples Featured - A coffee break at the Princess Avenue Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Wednesday was an effort sponsored by the Christian Women's Fellowship to promote Elgin County apples. Mrs. Elmer Gray, on the left. Convener of the coffee break, serves muffins to Mrs. Kenneth Olson while Mrs. H. N. Goldsmith, CWF president pours tea for Mrs. John Thomas, a committee member. Apple cook-books were distributed and coffee cake, bread, and muffins, made from apples were served during the coffee break. There was also a food table in the upper part of the church."
