- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published May 20, 1960 with caption: "Attend Convention - Between 600 and 800 members of the Baptist Young People's Union are expected to attend the annual B.Y.P.U. convention for Ontario and Quebec in Woodstock this weekend. The convention will open Friday evening. On Saturday afternoon, the visitors will be taken on a sight-seeing tour of Oxford County. In the evening Rev. Frank Swackhammer, of Oshawa, formerly of the Centre Street Baptist Church, will speak. Rev. Ivan Morgan, of Temple Street Baptist Church, Windsor, is to be principal speaker. Services will be held Sunday morning and afternoon, and the life service on Sunday evening will be one of the highlights. Monday morning the new officers will be installed. In the above photo are some of the 40 to 50 members of the B.Y.P.U. of Elgin County who will attend.
