- Scope and Content
- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 4 1979 with caption: "The second annual Elgin District Scout Church Parade began at the St. Thomas Old English Church on Sunday. Some 200 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Venturers from 26 sections in the county were led by piper Jim Frame to Vincent A. Barrie Park. Along the route the leaders saulted the county's district commissioner Ken Fogal (third from left), assistant district commissioners, Roy Leach (second left), Pat Tugwood (left), and Marilyn Durham. According to Mr. Fogal, the parade is a display of Scouting and celebration in Elgin. The event was highlighted by a Scout religious service at the park, where the prayers were led by district chaplain Bill Craven."
