- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published March 16, 1979 with caption: "These are award winners of the Trees for Canada poster contest who assembled at St. Mark's Church Thursday night. Winners received a $1 gift certificate for the Dairy Queen and runners-up were given a 50-cent certificate. Trees for Canada is a Canadian Scouting program aimed at improving the enviroment through the planting of trees. Posters will be displayed throughout St. Thomas. Top row, from left, are: Steve Towers, Rob Tadema and Paul Baughman of the 6th St. Thomas Scouts, and Doug McCauley, 1st West Lorne Scouts. In the front row, are from left: David Stafford, John Jolly and John Clendenning of the 18th St. Thomas Cubs, James Calvert, 6th St. Thomas Scouts, and David Jensen, 1st West Lorne Scouts.
