- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published November 8, 1971 with caption: "Flags Lowered in Remembrance - Some 17 wreaths commemorating the war dead were placed by various organizations at the St. Thomas Cenotaph, Sunday, during annual Remembrance Day services. After the last wreath was placed, the color party of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 41, lowered their flags and a lone bugler played Reveille, while the veterans and Elgin Regiment members present saluted their fallen comrades. Despite chilly weather, hundreds turned out for the occasion"
