- "Inspection Scene - Lt.-Col. C. C. Eldert, officer commanding the Elgin (27th Armored) Regiment, had words of praise for four squadrons of cadets who paraded yesterday during the 85th annual inspection of Central Elgin Collegiate Institute No. 7 Cadet Corps. Here, Lt.-Col. Eldert moves through the ranks of young men. From the left, the cadets being inspected are Cam Raven, Jerry Spriggs, Gilbert Smith, Bob Harris and Steve State."(26a)
- "Dismantling Techniques are Demonstrated - During yesterday's annual C.E.C.I. cadet inspection, several of the corps' training procedures were demonstrated to the inspecting party. Here, dismantling one of the training guns are, left to right (kneeling): Sgt.-Major Ken Doggett and Lt. gary Teetzel. - "Best Shot Honored - To Cadet Major Douglas Nicholson went the "best shot in the corps" award. His host of qualifications included the Ontario Department of Education Challenge Shield marksman badge, the Strathcona best shot in corps badge, the Canadian Army recreational shooting expert badge and the No. 7 Central Elgin Corps award for best shot. Here, he is congratulated on his achievements by Lt.-Col. C. C. Eldert."(26c)
