- Two black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 21, 1971 with captions:
- "Transformation - The occasional visitor to Aylmer who happed to be in the town Saturday afternoon may well have wondered if he hadn't taken a wrong turn somewhere. A parade hosted by the Aylmer and district German-Canadian Club transformed the community into something one might expect thousands of miles away on the other side of the Atlantic. The parade was part of the club's annual Home Coming Day celebrations." (2a)
- "The Big Blast - Many Aylmer residents lined the streets as members of German-Canadian Clubs from Ontario and parts of the United States presented a parade featuring the traditional dress and music of the Transylvanian Saxons. The parade marked the beginning of a two-day Home Coming Day celebration hosted by the Aylmer and district club. Seen here investigating where the sound comes from are, from left to right, Erica Wenhardt, 5; Randy Fabi, 7; Linda Csakli, 9; Jim Kew, a tuba player with the Kitchener Transylvania Band; and Miss Saxonia, Mary Unger, 17."
