- "Top Guernseys- One of the highlights of the final day of cattle competitions at the Aylmer Fair was the judging of the female grand champion Guernseys. Western Club Guernsey Princess Susan Richardson awarded the ribbons to the top competitors. The Grand Champion was owned by Sam S. Richardson and Sons and is being held (left) by Mr. Richardson's daughter, Jean. Thomas Coursey (right) entered the Reserve Grand Champion. In the centre is Miss Richardson." (41a)
- "Grand Champion- Bere-Lea (Beau) Lamplighter won the Eaton's silver tray award when named Grand Champion Hereford bull in competition at the Aylmer Fair Saturday. He is owned by W. G. Bere, RR 1, Avra. Mr. Bere's daughter, Linda, 9, places the first place ribbon on Beau while Miss Jean Jenkins, Elgin County's dairy princess, presents the silver tray to Mr. Bere." (41b)
- "Racing Under The Lights- Parimutuels were crowded at the Aylmer Fair Saturday night with spectators wagering on the trials of speed harness races. This race was not quite a photo finish, with Jack Harris of Aylmer trotting ahead to the wire in the third race." (41c)
- "Population Explosion- Aylmer Fair's Baby Show was swamped with little people and their mothers (above) Saturday afternoon. More than 140 babies waited as patiently as could be expected while the three judges measured, weighed and cuddled. Judges found it a difficult assignment to pick the cutest." (41d)
