- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published January 15, 1972 with caption: "Pint-Size Hero- Taffy, a six-month old poodle owned by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gordon of Beech Street, Aylmer, was credited with saving the life of Mr. Gordon yesterday when the dog aroused Mr. Gordon as a fire raged through his house trailer in the early morning. Described as a very sound sleeper, Mr. Gordon had time only to put on his trousers and escape the trailer. His wife, Linda, was at work in St. Thomas at the time of the blaze. Damage was estimated at between $3,000 and $4,000."
