- “Mayor Opens Show - The flower show sponsored by the St. Thomas and District Horticultural Society and held at the auditorium of Central United Church, St. Thomas, was officially opened last evening by Mayor Vincent A. Barrie. The show will remain open until tonight. Looking over a winning arrangement are Mayor Barrie, left, and Fergus Cron, Fingal, flower show chairman.” (C8 Sh3 B1 F4 7a)
- "Examine Flowers - The St. Thomas and District Horticultural Society held its flower show judging on Friday afternoon at Central United Church, St. Thomas. The show was open to the public last evening and today. Looking over one of the many arrangements are, left to right, Mrs. Rae Partridge, a director; Mrs. Lucille Boothman; and Thomas Currah, president of the society." (C8 Sh3 B1 F4 7b)
