- Scope and Content
- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 26, 1975 with caption: "Flag Presentation - St. Thomas Mayor Wayne Neal, centre, is shown as he presents a Canadian flag to Joseph F. Toot Jr., left, executive vice-president of The Timken Company and James W. Pilz, vice-president of international operations for the company. The presentation was made in appreciation for Timken's hosting a visit by Mayor Neal and City Industrial Commissioner W.L. (Shine) Palmer to Canton, Ohio, the firm's headquarters, on Tuesday. The visit was the result of the St. Thomas officials' desire to see the corporate headquarters of the company and the firm's desire to show the men the community. The two men were accompanied to Canton by Arthur L. Schneider, president of Canadian Timken Limited in St. Thomas."
