- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published November 23, 1954 with caption: "Guests Of County Council- Following a practice inagurated about ten years ago, members of the Elgin County Council brought young people to the first meeting today of the November sessions as their guests and to get first-hand knowledge of how county affairs are administered. A feature of the party this year was the marked increase in the number of young ladies who accompanied the county solons. The young Elgin guests are shown above on the steps of the main entrance to the courthouse after the morning adjournment.
