- "The First- First Pinto built in U.S. or Canada, at St. Thomas Assembly Plant, was Times-Journal entry in 1970 parade. Vehicle, introduced by Ford to challenge import presence in automobile market, was purchased by the T.J." (C8 Sh4 B2 F1 150a)
- "And Number 935,789- Last Pinto, actually identical twin sister Mercury Bobcat, gets a polish Friday from St. Thomas production worker Ron Dewaele, London. The 935,789th Pinto to be assembled at plant, vehicle also was last to be built by Ford." (C8 Sh4 B2 F1 150b)
