- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 18, 1981 with caption: "War Measures?- The Elgin Regiment was out in full force last night but it wasn't part of a new War Measures Act, the militia unit was directing traffic, setting up seats, and providing other duties for the Art Gallery, St. Thomas-Elgin during Wednesday's fund-raising event for the gallery. Talbot Street, between Pearl and East Streets, was blocked off to let the public see the opening centennial art display as well as enjoy music on the street. Above, are Trooper Wayne Pearce, front, and Private Luc Vandooren."
