- "Judging- Patience and experience are needed for the classification of entries. Here Glen Anderson, left, of O.A.C., Guelph and K. R. Hillier, of the Canada Department of Agriculture, London, closely examine grain samples." (C8 Sh5 B2 F11 4a)
- "Displays- Products of Elgin County's fertile acres formed the central displays at the Seed Fair. Despite bad weather, more farmers exhibited more entries than in 1957." (C8 Sh5 B2 F11 4b)
- "Busy Place - With more entries than last year, the main desk at the Seed Fair was the centre of brisk activity. From the left, Donald Small, RR 3, Iona Station, vice-president of the Elgin Soil and Crop Improvement Association; A.V. Langton, Elgin agricultural representative; and Miss Edith Nimmo accept entries and tabulate results of the judging." (C8 Sh5 B2 F11 4c)
