- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published November 11, 1978 with caption: "Examine Book - Mrs. Chris Bakker, head nurse at the Memorial Continuing Care Centre, and Milton Heidt, a patient, examine the Elgin County Book of Remembrance which rests on display in the rotunda of the centre. Presented in 1931 by the 25th Elgin Regiment and the St. Thomas Chapter of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire, the book is a memorial to the 2,250 Elgin men and women who enlisted for service in World War I."
