- Two black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published July 29, 1976 with captions: "Some Good News and Some Bad - Only 11 of the 19 youngsters who tried their Senior Red Cross swimming test Wednesday at Northside Pool were passed by examiner and head-lifeguard Nancy Lyle of St. Thomas. Here one of the successful candidates, Donny Jans, 12, of Bailey Avenue, accepts his badge and certificate.
