- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published February 20, 1976 with caption: "Relief For Guatemala - The St. Thomas Red Cross has set up a booth in the Elgin Mall in order to collect donations for the Canadian Red Cross efforts to send relief to victims of the Guatemala earthquake. The booth opened Wednesday, and will be manned every day from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. until February 27. A total of 24 volunteers from St. Anne's Church [St. Thomas] will operate the booth. Here Mrs. Irma Fuchs, left, and Mrs. Mary Meulendyks are ready to accept donations shortly after the booth opened Wednesday. The relief funds are used to purchase medicine, medical supplies, food, blankets and even tents for the earthquake victims."
