- Four black and white photographs used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published November 11, 1975 concerning the death of Leonard Alexander Paul Martin, 28, crewman of the fishing vessel South Side, which sank on Lake Erie about one and a half miles southeast of Port Burwell. Published with captions: "Larry Martin...Captain of the ill-fated tug" (C8 Sh5 B1 F6 14a); "Survived Twice - Edward Croxford, shown here with his mother, Mrs. Vera Croxford, has survived two lake disasters on Lake Erie in the last nine days" (C8 Sh5 B1 F6 14b); "Gave Clothing - Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Csikos were confronted by the three survivors of the fishing tug South Side which sank off Port Burwell harbor Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Csikos gave the three survivors warm clothes and contacted police. One man drowned" (C8 Sh5 B1 F6 14c); "Ill Fated Tug - Captain Larry Martin's Port Burwell based tug, the South Side which sank at Port Burwell taking the life of crewman Leonard Martin. The all-steel diesel tug had a registered length of 54 feet and a beam of 16' 4". She was built in Port Dover in 1942 and was one of the most noted vessels in the industry" (C8 Sh5 B1 F6 14d).
