- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published September 26, 1981 with caption: "Someone Has To Be First - St. Thomas provincial police constable surveys damage to automobile driven by Brent Watters, 20, of 9 Highview Drive [St. Thomas], after it and a pickup truck driven by Ronald Webb, 47, of 260 Wellington Street, collided Thursday afternoon at recently opened St. Thomas expressway intersection on Wellington Road. Damage to each vehicle is estimated at $2,000 but occupants escaped serious injury. It was the first collision at the crossroads since traffic lights were switched on September 7."
