- Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published August 24, 1972 concerning an automobile accident which destroyed an O.P.P. cruiser. Published with caption: "Car Written Off, Officers Injured: St. Thomas O.P.P. Constable Dennis Adkin was in satisfactory condition at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital this morning after an early morning accident involving an O.P.P. cruiser in which he was a passenger. The car, driven by Const. Raymond Brown, went out of control on Highway 3 east on the Penn Central overpass and slammed into a railing at 3:17 a.m. It was wet and raining at the time. Const. Brown was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and released. The car was written off at $3,000; damage to the trestle amounted to $200."
