- Bessie Maud Evans was born on June 20, 1883 to Laura Evans (nee Crane) and Thomas J. Evans. She attended Alma College. She later lived at 48 Florence Avenue in Toronto, Ontario (Willowdale). She died on November 22, 1967, and is buried at Orwell Cemetery.
