- History / Biographical
- Charles Eli Gates Moore was born on May 16, 1860 to Mary E.R. Duncombe and Nelson Whitney Moore (N.W. Moore), who served as the Gaoler for Elgin County. He married Charlotte Gibbs, with whom he had at least three children: Theodore, Marion and Wilfred. He died on February 24, 1920.
