- Other Title Info
- The term “Indian” is an outdated term referring to the legal identity of a person registered under the Indian Act. Although used in many government documents, the term is offensive and should not be used today. The original description using this term has been retained in our records to ensure that discriminatory attitudes and viewpoints are not erased from the historic record.
