- Photographs of the crowd in Aylmer gathered to greet Santa Claus at the parade. Caption from St. Thomas Times-Journal, December 15, 1952, page six: “Santa Claus Visits Aylmer.” 2_2260: “Santa Claus came to Aylmer, Saturday afternoon, as a guest of the Aylmer Kinsmen and a group of merchants, and he really had a busy hour or more in the park behind the postoffice, where he greeted and treated Young Aylmer and Young East Elgin by the hundreds. The above photograph taken from the bankshell shows only a portion of the record crowds the turned out for the parade and Santa’s reception.”
