2_1926: “New bonds of friendship and co-operative understanding were made, Tuesday afternoon, when a party of officials and employees of the Southern States Co-Operative of Richmond, Virginia, visited in St. Thomas in connection with a week of international touring, and were guests of the St. Thomas Board of Trade and the Kiwanis Club at noonday luncheon in the Colonel Thomas Talbot Room of the Grand Central Hotel. They were addressed by Hon. F. S. Thomas, Ontario Minister of Public Works and Legislative representative for Elgin.
