2_1191: “A mother stands in silent meditation and prayer for the memory of her son. This striking photography was taken in the new Protestant chapel at the R.C.A.F. Station Aylmer, Wednesday afternoon, following the unveiling of a beautiful stained glass window to 23 airmen and one airwoman who died while training at No. 14 Service Flying Training School in the Second World War. The mother is Mrs. C. S. Palmer, who came all the way from Saskatoon, Sask., to attend the impressive service. Her son was Flying Officer Donald C. Palmer, killed in a training accident on January 20, 1842.”
