Caption from St. Thomas Times-Journal, June 24, 1952, page thirteen: “Toronto Woman Sets Tournament Record.” 2_1047: “A new women’s record for tournament play at the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club was set Monday in the Ladies’ Invitation Tournament by Mrs. J. B. Seawright, Toronto, who carded a 76, three strokes better than a 15-year record set by Mrs. Jack Secord, of Kelowna, B.C., the former Dorothy Agnew. With Mrs. Seawright, who appears second from the left in the above photograph, are Mrs. McLay Miller, Aylmer, at her right, who won the prize for second low gross; Mrs. T. J. Stewart, St. Thomas, president of the women’s section of the Country Club, centre; Mrs. H. M. Dawson, St. Thomas, captain of the women’s section of the Country Club; and Mrs. Lloyd Grant, Aylmer, who won the prize for third low gross.”
