- File contains a photocopy of the Probate of the Last Will and Testament of John Baxter, registered November 1, 1837. The will is dated April 20, 1832 and Baxter died in 1837. The west half of Lot 2, Concession 4, in the Township of Dunwich was transferred to his eldest daughter, Catherine McCauseland; the south half of Lot 16, Concession 4, in the Township of Dunwich was transferred to his daughter, Margaret Baxter; and the north half of Lot 16, Concession 4, in the Township of Dunwich was transferred to his daughter, Elizabeth Baxter. Executors were James Johnson, and his sons, Jacob and William Baxter. Witnesses were John Warren, George Lewis, and George Zavitz.
A farm owned by John Baxter on Lot 10, Concession 11, in the Township of Lobo, was to be sold and the money given to his wife, Elizabeth.
